peekaboo

In the past week I have bought 3 bralettes, two of which look pretty much the same. I think it’s safe to say that I’m obsessed. It’s hard not to buy them when they are so damn cute and a ‘lil sexy. I love the idea of wearing a lingerie inspired look where you can ever so slightly see the lace; hence the title of this post.

One look I love is wearing a white shirt with the first few buttons undone, denim, jewelry and some lace up sandals. There are a couple ways to change up this look depending on what you’re doing. Add some sneakers and shorts for the day or pop on some red lipstick, stacked rings and heels for a night out. Be sure to check out my Instagram in a couple days to see the looks in action!

TOP 5 spring jackets

Spring is a time where you need a few different types of jackets because the weather is so unpredictable. It could be sunny and hot on a Monday and then pouring rain Tuesday. Spring is definitely the season of jackets. The more the merrier, as they say! Or, it is just an excuse to go shopping and buy a new jacket. Today, I wanted to share my top 5 jackets for Spring and what they’re great for/how to style them.

#1. The Bomber

The bomber jacket is my fav for Spring because you can literally wear it with everything and it will work. Pair it with some blue skinnies, a tee and sneakers.

#2. The Trench

Wearing a trench just makes you feel fancy and classy, am I right ladies? This option is great if you wear more business/business casual outfits on a daily basis. I love the light grey colour for the Spring, it will brighten up any outfit.

#3. The Unique Jacket

I called this one the unique jacket because there is always trends for the Spring season and this is where you can go ahead and just buy what is trendy. Suede and fringe are a huge hit this season and it’s a great style to wear as a statement piece.

#4. The Leather Jacket

Classic. I do not feel the need to explain why a leather jacket is necessary for Spring. I do like the longer, motto style jackets because they give off a cooler vibe, compared to the cropped, no buckle styles.

Zara

#5. The Denim Jacket

I love how there are so many different styles of denim jackets, cropped, oversized, ripped, bleached. The options are endless, and it is finally cool to wear denim on denim again! This jacket is great to wear with jeans, leggings, joggers for a more casual vibe.

Mango

All Black

No shocker here, an all black outfit. I wanted to style my new shearling jacket for a blog post and I figured lets stick with an edgy, all black look. I wore my ripped jeans, converse and a black high neck shirt. I cannot wait to style this jacket many other ways but I had to break it in with a very typical outfit of mine. This jacket is just what I’ve been looking for; a more stylish option to my long parka and it actually keeps me warm. It’s usually very hard to dress nicely in Canadian winters because all you want to do is bundle up and not give a damn on how you look because keeping warm is all that matters!

FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION

FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION
Fall is the time to layer, play with textures and wear those rich colours (less black, more marsala)! Depending on the weather, a leather jacket is a key piece for fall because you can layer tees and sweaters underneath. I love all the textures in the outfit above, suede, fringe, knit and leather.  These pieces can be found at Spring and I’ll link them below. Hope you get some inspiration for your next Fall outfit!

Ways to Wear: Denim Shorts

Summer is near it’s end but there is still a lot of time to enjoy summer outfits. Soon enough we’ll have to pack away the shorts and bring out the pants. Until that day comes, I wanted to share a few ways to style denim shorts. There are so many looks to go for this season; boho, 70’s, sexy night out, tomboy, etc. I hope you enjoy these looks and even re-create some of them! Comment below and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @hungry4style_

High-waist, distressed denim shorts are always my favourite type of shorts to wear in the summer. So many stores sell a lot of different styles and washes, leaving endless possibilities. I showed some tops, accessories and beauty items to wear with each outfit. Screen Shot 2015-07-28 at 2.51.55 PM

Rain, Rain Go Away

Welp, I wanted to take blog photos today for an outfit post but this rainy weather has stopped me. I’m having the blogging itch and the need to write and share with you guys! So, I want to share some rainy day necessities, whether you’re out and about or just chilling at home. Hope you enjoy and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @hungry4style_

Numero 1. Rainy days make me just want to snuggle up on the couch, eat, drink coffee, watch movies and scroll through Tumblr and Instagram. I want to share some of my key clothing pieces that are the comfiest to relax in. A fuzzy, mohair sweater is like, the definition of comfy clothes. Aerie also sells THE cutest bralettes and PJ shorts so I highly recommend grabbing some.

Numero 2. When I actually have to go out and do stuff on a rainy day I definitely can’t go out wearing my fav white sneakers and t-shirt. I 100% need a jacket, boots and an umbrella, ella ella, eh, eh, eh? Sorry, couldn’t pass up the chance to mix in a little Rihanna. An oversized, hooded coat is perfect to keep your outfit underneath dry and perfect. My hair goes super frizzy in the rain so a beanie is great way to contain the frizz so I don’t look like Monica (from Friends and I love you if you can picture it without googling) on vacation.

Friday Favs

Today marks the first day of a new segment here on hungry4style! Every Friday I will be sharing my favs, from beauty to fashion to lifestyle. I love watching favourite videos on YouTube and reading them on blogs so I thought I would start my own. Most of the time, I will go out and buy a favourite that another blogger has raved about, hehe. I hope you enjoy this and maybe we’ll have some similar favourites or you will find new favourites! That being said, be sure to check back every Friday (you can sign up to the right to be emailed when a new post is out) and follow me on Instagram @hungry4style .

These small dainty necklaces are SO cute layered with each other, they are so simple yet they add so much to your outfit. Some days I don’t really feel like accessorizing but these are so effortless and you can’t go wrong. These are from Forever 21.

IMG_4587

Where to I begin on this eyeshadow stick????? First, its like $4 and second, it is just amazeballs. I am so obsessed with gold eyeshadows atm and this chubby stick from NYC has got me going. The colour lasts all day and doesn’t crease, whatsoever. If you’re looking for a summery, bronze glow then I definitely recommend these. They come in quite a few colours but this is my favourite. I have recently been wearing it on my lower lash line and it looks amazing. This colour is 620 Murray Hill Champagne.

Summer is the perfect time to get that glow you’ve been waiting for. This shimmering skin perfector from Becca can give you that without having to tan. I’ve seen other bloggers mix it in with their moisturizer (body or face) to achieve an overall glow but I like to use it as a highlight on the top of my cheekbone. This colour is Opal and it’s not too sparkly and it doesn’t make you look oily.

So these shorts have literally been the only pair I’ve been wearing when I’m out and about. That may have sounded a little gross but don’t worry I wash them, lol. These shorts are so comfy and you can wear them with a tee during the day and dress them up with a crop top and sandals at night. So versatile and so cute. So many stores sell this style so I would go grab a pair asap!! These are from Express, but I know Brandy Melville also sells super cute ones.

Summer Days Ahead

PHEW! It was hot this past long weekend, and I had Monday off work so I had to bust out the shorts and enjoy the sun. I am sooo looking forward to more sunny and hot days to wear my summer clothes. That reminds me, I also need to go shopping for some more.

I hope you like this outfit! Stay tuned for more and more blog posts every week! I am getting back into it full force since I am off school for the Summer and should (should being the key word) have more time to take pics and (hopefully) inspire you all!

IMG_4370 My outfit is all from Express, minus the leather converse and sunglasses. I’ll link everything at the bottom incase you like anything and want to buy it yourself! This pajama style of shorts are so cute for Summer and um, hello, SO COMFY. They can be dressed casually or to go out for patio drinks at night.

. My jean jacket is the newest purchase and I wasn’t sure about it but I got it anyway, lol don’t we all do that sometimes. Now that I have worn it, it’s going to be my new Summer staple for layering. The rips in it is what attracted me at first and it’s whats keeping me in love.

IMG_4409 IMG_4418 IMG_4437 IMG_4449 IMG_4451

Since it was a hot summer evening, I dressed casual and put on my leather converse and added my fringe bag. I went very minimal on the jewelry with just my ring and a couple beaded bracelets.

Playing Dress Up

This past weekend I went to my sister’s graduation, naturally that meant a dress and heels. I usually don’t have places to wear heels and I don’t gravitate towards them on a daily basis because lets be honest, heels hurt. If you say they don’t you are lying to yourself. For this event I went with my black trapeze dress and wedges. Would you believe me if I told you I’ve had these heels since grade 9 (aka age 15)??? But hey, my feet haven’t grown so who cares! Lol. I wanted to find a more Spring-like dress but didn’t find one so I went with classic black. I thought these shoes screamed Spring so they completed the outfit. I also love the way this necklace falls with the neckline of the dress. I wore my black trench over top because it was a little chilly. I hope you like and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for daily inspiration @hungry4style_ !!!
